Pitcher Plant - Botography

Become a botanist in Botography, a cozy 2D adventure-exploration game. Navigate an uncharted whimsical region, where plants have unique and fantastical properties. Gather materials, grow plants, and utilize their abilities to discover the mystery of the forest and the secrets that lie within.

This is my senior project at Drexel University. I was one of the main animators for the game. I had a hand in all the key plant animations for the game.
This is the pitcher plant, which is used to clear the effects of other plants applied to the character, and to allow the player to explore under water. The animation was finished by me. The design and concept are thanks to the team I worked with.
I created the animation within Procreate Dreams.

This is the animation base I was given to work off of for the pitcher plant. This was created by E Berlin and gave me the strong foundation to work off of for the animation.

These are some early concepts of the pitcher plant. You can see they all attempted to include acid as a base for the ideas. The idea liked the most was the pitcher plant one and thus another designer began developing the design based off that.
