Animated Intro For Drexel IT - Paint Splatter
This is an intro animation done for a promotional video for Drexel's IT department. The video was meant to promote hype around the charity art auction the IT department created and sold. This intro became a staple of the auction, being adapted into a banner as well for the auction. The charity funded scholarships for women in technology.
This was created while I was on CO-OP with Drexel's Video Collaboration and Production (VCAP) IT section.

This is the banner that was adapted out of the animation. It was used as a sign for the gallery and advertising on the Drexel Calendar.

This is the rough sketch of the animation. It's all done in sections, focusing on each paint splatter individually. before moving on to the next.
This is one of the storyboards depicting a possible idea for the animation. The idea behind this was to create the effect of paint pouring over a canvas and then pealing the tape away to reveal the words.
This is another avenue the animation could have taken. The idea to use Mario the Dragon, Drexel's mascot to show off the art made.
This is the final proposed avenue the animation could have taken. It was to animate the logo of Drexel University to make it swirl into a solid color where the words would appear slowly.
This was the final storyboard. The hand in the story board was dropped and replaced for the tape pealing itself away from the paper.
